Kestrel Aviation Training Academy (“KATA”) is committed to providing high-quality aviation education and training. This Refund Policy outlines the terms under which tuition payments and fees may be refunded.

​

Students must remain current on all scheduled tuition payments in order to continue participation in the training program.  By enrolling in a training program, students agree to the terms outlined below.

Enrollment Deposits

An enrollment deposit is required to reserve a seat in each program of study, the deposit is non-refundable unless the program is cancelled by Kestrel Aviation Training Academy.

Enrollment deposits help secure a student’s position in a training cohort and cover administrative costs associated with processing applications and preparing course materials.

​​

Tuition Refunds Before Course Start

Students who withdraw from a course at least 7 days prior to the scheduled start date may be eligible for a refund of tuition payments, excluding any non-refundable deposits or administrative fees.

​​

Refund requests must be submitted in writing to the academy.

​​

Tuition Refunds After Course Start

Once a course has begun, refunds may be issued on a prorated basis depending on the portion of the program completed.

General guidelines:

​​

• Withdrawal during the first week of training may qualify for a partial refund.
• Withdrawal after the second week of the course has been completed is not eligible for a refund.

All refund determinations are made at the discretion of Kestrel Aviation Training Academy.

​

Course Cancellation by the Academy

If a training program is cancelled by Kestrel Aviation Training Academy for any reason, enrolled students will receive either:

​

• A full refund of tuition paid, or
• The option to transfer enrollment to a future program session.

​

Refund Processing

Approved refunds will typically be processed within 10–14 business days using the original payment method whenever possible.

​

Processing times may vary depending on financial institutions and payment providers.

​

Non-Refundable Items

Certain fees may be non-refundable, including but not limited to:

​

• Enrollment deposits
• Application processing fees
• Course materials that have already been distributed

​

These items will be clearly communicated during the enrollment process.

​
